WORLD WEATHER NETWORK TALKS #4

In his performative presentation titled breathtaking taking place at SAHA Studio on October 15th, Can Küçük follows a personal narrative, detailing the physical and social relationships he forms with the atmosphere of his current location. The narrative which he divides into chapters with reference to the basic elements of life, is accompanied by Hatice Yüksel's music.

Part of the World Weather Network’s year-long programme of artist-led weather stations, online weather reports, and live events fostering debate and discussion about the climate crisis, in this conversation the urgency of collaboration across the arts, sciences and policy-making is explored by two contrasting minds, meeting for the first time.

Can Küçük

1993’te Antalya’da doğan Can Küçük, İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi’nde Endüstri Ürünleri Tasarımı eğitimi aldı. Pratiğinde endüstriyel çevrenin öğelerini, özellikle vücutla doğrudan bağlantılı olanları konu edinir. Bu öğelerin potansiyel işlev ve anlamlarını arar; sosyal durumlara etkilerini anlamak için onları dönüştürür; katı yapıların içinde kişisel olanı bulmaya çalışır.

2021 yılından bu yana sanatçı inisiyatifi 5533’ün direktörlüğünü yapıyor.
